- Remove wet upholstery cushions and place them upright to ensure even drying.
- Put wooden blocks or aluminum foil beneath the legs of the furniture.
- Hang furs and leather goods separately at room temperature to ensure they dry properly and maintain their shape.
- Remover oriental or other colored rugs from wet carpeting.
- Do not use a regular vacuum to remove water.
- Avoid turning on ceiling fixtures if the ceiling is wet, and stay away from areas with sagging ceilings due to trapped water.
- Do not leave books, magazines, or other colored items on wet carpeting.
